  • Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling, Metanoia Institute

  • Certificate of Higher Education in Psychology, University of London

I am a BACP accredited counsellor/psychotherapist. Alongside my private practice I have worked in the NHS for several years, in primary care as well as for a London NHS Trust, which included working with people who have been affected by a diagnosis of cancer. I have worked with clients in a number of different counselling agencies, on a range of issues including anxiety, bereavement and loss, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues.

My background is in the Arts and in international Human Resources where I gained an interest and experience in workplace issues and conflict resolution.

I am a naturalised German immigrant and I have lived and worked in different countries before settling in the UK. This gives me an awareness of cultural diversity and of different issues and feelings, such as feelings of isolation and loss of identity, which may occur after having uprooted to a new environment.

I have attended many additional training workshops on specific issues such as bereavement, loss, gender identity, sexuality, trauma etc. and am committed to ongoing and continued personal development.

I also have an understanding and experience of working with Adult ADHD.
